Lexus Korea to launch All New ES on October 13

Lexus Korea will officially launch the eighth-generation All New ES in Korea on October 13, according to ZDNet Korea. The lineup includes four hybrid ES 350h trims and five EV trims (ES 350e, ES 500e), totaling nine trims. The starting price is 71.6 million won for the ES 350e Premium, which is 1.3 million won lower than the ES 350h Premium at 72.9 million won. The ES 500e Luxury is priced at 84.9 million won.

In the semiconductor sector, the SEDEX Semiconductor Exhibition will be held at COEX in Seoul for three days starting on October 14, hosted by the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association. Ahn Hyun, President of SK hynix, will give a keynote at SEDEX on the theme of memory innovation in the AI era.

Other tech events this week include MangoBoost holding a press conference on October 12 to unveil its new AI inference platform 'Mango Inference'. In esports, the Google Play ASL Season 22 final will be held on October 17 at 3 PM at the Lotte World Ice Rink special stage in Jamsil. The final will feature Yoo Young-jin (Terran) versus Kim Min-chul (Zerg). Yoo Young-jin defeated Lee Jae-ho 4:2 in the semifinals to advance to his first ASL final. In background, Lexus registered 10,212 vehicles in Korea from January to August this year, with the ES 300h accounting for 4,247 units, or 41.6%. In September, electric vehicles and hybrids accounted for 52.1% and 39.0% of new imported passenger car registrations, respectively, totaling 91.1%.
