LG U+ and Korea Fire Agency hold memorial run for fallen firefighters

LG U+ and the Korea Fire Agency held the U+119 Memorial Run 2026 on October 17 at Sejong Central Park and the National Sejong Arboretum, with about 2,000 participants, according to datanet.co.kr.
The field included general runners, active-duty firefighters, bereaved families of firefighters who died in the line of duty, and officials. Of the participants, 1,400 ran the 11.9km course and 600 ran the 5km course.
The full 50,000-won entry fee will go toward supporting the families of fallen firefighters. An official memorial ceremony organized by the Korea Fire Agency followed the run.
Returning runners from the first edition
About 500 participants from last year's inaugural race joined this year's event as well. Entry fees from last year's run were also delivered to a support group for the families of firefighters killed on duty.
