Liner Launches First Scholar Research Contest for Korean Nationals 14+

Liner opens its first Liner Scholar Research Contest, asking participants to test everyday beliefs against academic papers using its AI research agent.

Liner, a global AI agent startup, announced it is holding the first Liner Scholar Research Contest. The contest theme is verifying commonly held beliefs with academic papers, according to digitaltoday.co.kr.

Participants must choose an everyday belief or question as a research topic and use Liner's academic research AI agent, Liner Scholar, to analyze papers and write a short thesis. Liner Scholar is built on a database of about 500 million academic data items worldwide and supports prior research exploration, comparison and analysis, hypothesis generation, review of academic evidence and citation recommendations.

Judging will focus on the process of critically reviewing evidence from multiple papers rather than accepting AI answers as-is. The contest has two stages: paper evaluation and a final presentation.

Eligibility is limited to Korean nationals aged 14 or older, and the entry fee is free. The application deadline is the 25th, and short theses must be submitted as PDF files by November 8.

Ten outstanding submitters will receive one MacBook, four iPads and five AirPods respectively. All applicants get 2,500 credits usable in Liner's service, and those who submit on time receive a participation certificate.
