Lotte Innovate Shows Physical AI Robot Learning at AI FESTA 26
More than 1000 visitors trained a robot arm and controlled a humanoid in VR at Lotte Innovate's RX LAB, according to ZDNet Korea.
Lotte Innovate ran a physical AI experience space called RX LAB at AI FESTA 26, held at COEX in Seoul, where visitors tried out robot learning and control technology, according to ZDNet Korea.
The robot arm zone let visitors teach a robot arm work motions and generate learning data, while the VR zone placed them at a humanoid robot's viewpoint so they could control the robot directly. In a separate robot execution zone, robots carried out actual tasks based on the learning data created earlier.
More than 1000 people took part in the robot arm and VR-based humanoid control experiences over the first two days of the event.
Lotte Innovate also presented its physical AI business strategy at the Future Tech Conference held during AI FESTA 26.
Visitors and roadmap
South Korean Vice Minister of Science and ICT Ryu Je-myung, NIA President Kim Hyung-chul and global AI expert Dr. Laura Arroyo visited RX LAB during the event, in a sign of government and industry interest in the exhibition.
The company has said it plans to link its AI platform Aimember, vision-language-action (VLA) models and reinforcement learning technology with robots and existing IT infrastructure. It aims to expand a physical AI-based Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) business for retail, logistics and manufacturing sites.
