MakeShop Core launches as free store-building service

ConnectWave's MakeShop unveiled the free tool, which supports PC and mobile stores, AI design suggestions and courier-linked shipping.

MakeShop, the online store-building platform operated by ConnectWave, launched a free service called MakeShop Core on October 27, 2026, aimed at people preparing to open online stores and at solo or small-scale sellers, according to datanet.co.kr.

MakeShop Core bundles store construction, product sales and operations management into a single free offering. Users can run their stores on PC and through a mobile app, and the service supports responsive web, so stores optimised for both PC and mobile can be built without coding knowledge.

AI-based design and copy suggestions propose designs and introductory text that match a brand's image. On the operations side, order and shipping features handle courier integration and invoice management.

Optional paid add-ons include handling customer service and advertising operations, plus AI-generated product detail pages. Automatically generated monthly reports analyse key metrics such as sales and order status.

Users also receive an exemption from payment gateway (PG) signup fees. The service can be used free of charge after signing up on the official website.
