Melon Adds Cheers Feature to Global-K Chart for K-Pop Fans

Kakao Entertainment's Cheers lets global fans support artists on Melon's Global-K Chart without logging in. Counts reset daily at noon KST.

Kakao Entertainment has introduced a Cheers feature to the Global-K Chart on Melon, allowing global K-pop fans to support artists without signing up or logging in, according to ZDNet Korea.

Fans can visit the Global-K Chart webpage and cheer for artists in the Global All tab of the daily chart. Cheer counts reset every day at noon Korean time.

Once an artist reaches a certain number of cheers, the platform generates a personalized share card that users can post on social media.

Melon is also running a Heart Attack event through the 14th. Twenty participants will each win one invitation to Melon Music Awards 2026 (MMA2026).

Shared chart across three markets

In October 2025, the Global-K Chart was set up jointly by Melon, China's Tencent Music and Japan's LINE Music, aggregating streaming and fan activity data from the three countries.
