MetaCore Global patents AI anomaly detection for SAP systems
The Korean company says the patent covers one-second monitoring and risk-tiered alerts, and it is preparing an AI version of its OWLens tool.
MetaCore Global said on October 22, 2026 that it has obtained a patent for technology that monitors the performance of integrated business management systems in real time and detects anomalies early using artificial intelligence, and that it is moving to commercialize an AI-enhanced version of its SAP monitoring product.
The patent, numbered 10-2946827 and titled “System and Method for Real-Time Performance Monitoring and Early Detection of Anomalies in an Integrated Business Management System Using Artificial Intelligence,” covers the collection of operational data at one-second intervals, according to datanet.co.kr. The data includes system resources, transaction processing, user activity, errors and communication status, and anomaly events are flagged against multiple preset threshold conditions separated by risk level.
According to the company, the technology issues alerts by anomaly type and risk level and lets users review past system states at a selected point in time on a dashboard.
MetaCore Global is working to commercialize “OWLens Powered by AI,” which adds AI features to OWLens, its existing SAP performance monitoring solution. The company said it is developing generative AI functions for natural-language data queries and analysis, intelligent fault detection and root cause analysis (RCA), and predictive, proactive operations management. An on-premises configuration based on a large language model will be offered to meet enterprise data security requirements.
The company has also filed an additional patent application to extend the AI-based real-time monitoring technology to security anomaly alerts based on analysis of user permissions, and said it has completed a HANA database resource usage and performance monitoring feature for data lifecycle management (DLM).
OWLens already provides real-time integrated monitoring, performance analysis and fault cause tracking for SAP systems, and is being expanded into a full-stack observability platform covering user screens, SAP Web Dispatcher, NetWeaver application servers and HANA databases, the company said.
Extending beyond performance
The pending security-focused application indicates the company intends to apply the monitoring technology to permission-based alerts alongside its performance and operational use cases. No timeline for releasing OWLens Powered by AI was given.
