Microsoft to Retire Themes by Copilot in Outlook
Microsoft will remove Themes by Copilot from Outlook Settings, and existing Copilot-generated themes will be permanently deleted once users switch away.
Microsoft is retiring the Themes by Copilot feature in Outlook, according to xda-developers.com. The company announced the change through a Microsoft 365 Message Center notice titled "MC1492954 - Microsoft Outlook: Themes by Copilot retirement."
The feature will be removed from Outlook Settings. After the removal, users will not be able to select a Copilot-generated theme or return to one after switching to a different theme.
Themes already applied will remain active until the user changes to a different theme. At that point, the Copilot-generated theme is permanently deleted.
In November 2024, Microsoft introduced Themes by Copilot, which allowed users with a Copilot license to create and apply AI-generated themes.
