Microsoft Ships Five New Windows 11 Insider Builds

The preview builds add Unicode 17.0 text shaping, a Cloud rebuild recovery option, and File Explorer and Magnifier tweaks.

Microsoft has begun rolling out a set of five new Windows 11 preview builds to Windows Insiders, according to windowscentral.com. The release lands just ahead of the company's upcoming Windows and Surface event.

The builds update Windows text shaping support for Unicode 17.0 and introduce a new Cloud rebuild recovery option for Insiders.

File Explorer also receives a navigation change: its address bar now accepts the "~" shortcut for jumping to the user profile folder.

Magnifier has been updated as well, letting users type an exact zoom percentage directly into its toolbar.

Microsoft's next Windows and Surface event is only a couple of days away. Many of the largest changes to Windows 11 have already shipped through Windows 11 version 26H2.
