One Razr Ultra 2025 user reports Android 17 update
A single owner of the Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 says the Android 17 update arrived on their unlocked AT&T model, but other users have not reported it.
A Reddit user reported that their Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 received the Android 17 update, according to Android Authority. The update does not appear to be a wide release yet, as other users have not reported receiving it.
The user said TikTok was installed and a previously deactivated Moto AI was reactivated after the update. Their device is an unlocked AT&T model being used on US Mobile.
Motorola has not given a date for when the Android 17 update will reach other Razr Ultra 2025 units.
Where the rollout stands
Android 17 first started rolling out to Pixel phones in June 2026. In August 2026, Motorola published a list of 50 phones that would get the Android 17 update, and in September 2026 the Razr, Edge and Signature devices began receiving it.
The Nothing Phone (3) received the Android 17 update a couple of weeks before this report. The Razr Ultra 2025 is expected to get three major updates in total, with Android 18 the last one next year, and is slated for bi-monthly security updates for four years, keeping it supported until 2028.
