MUJI has released a microwave grill cooking plate priced at 6,990 yen, the company announced on October 21, 2026. The product is designed to handle grilling, steam-grilling, rice cooking and simmering inside a microwave.
The set consists of a grill container, an inner lid and an outer lid. The inner lid contains a heating element and is placed directly on the food, so both sides cook without the user having to flip anything. MUJI notes that the inner lid and the outer lid cannot be used at the same time.
The body measures 26 x 24.5 x 12.5 cm and has a full capacity of 2.2 L. It is dishwasher-safe and is offered in two colors, Black and greige.
