Naver Upgrades University Admissions Search, Revamps Suneung Search for the 27th

Naver announced on October 23, 2026 that it has upgraded its education search so that university, department and admissions information can be found in one place, according to digitaltoday.co.kr.

Users can search a university name and a department name to see basic information, admission types, employment rates and tuition for about 200 universities and more than 7,000 departments. Searching a department together with a subject, such as "Hanyang University mechanical engineering elective subjects", returns recommended electives based on data from 44 universities that published recommended subjects.

Admissions information, including recruitment guidelines, application schedules, competition rates, subject grades and converted scores, appears directly in search results based on data from university admissions offices. Naver said it structured information scattered across admissions offices, school websites and the ADIGA admissions portal and reflected it in search results.

Suneung search revamp

The college entrance exam (Suneung) search will be revamped on the 27th. Before the exam, search will show key schedules, timetables, items to bring and past questions from the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation; on exam day it will indicate which period is in progress.

After each subject's exam ends, an AI briefing will summarize the latest news and analysis from admissions institutions. After the exam, expected grade cutoffs, raw scores, standard scores and percentiles will be viewable on one screen.

Naver Edu, the company's education-specific service, provides elementary, middle and high school information alongside university, department and admission-type information, plus a subject selection guide. In November, Naver plans to add a feature for entering estimated test answers to check expected grades and compare candidates for regular admission based on each university's converted scores.
