NTT DOCOMO launches NBA docomo on DAZN

The service streams 400 NBA regular-season games from the 2026-27 season with Japanese commentary, priced at ¥16,500 for a season plan.

NTT DOCOMO began offering "NBA docomo on DAZN", which lets users watch NBA docomo through DAZN, on October 16, the company announced.

The season plan costs ¥16,500, while the monthly plan is ¥2,728 per month. The season plan allows viewing until September 30, 2027 regardless of when the subscriber joins, and is on sale until June 30, 2027. The monthly plan renews automatically each month until cancelled.

Users who only use NBA docomo on DAZN do not need to pay a DAZN subscription fee. Purchasing requires creating a Freemium account with an email address separate from the user's d account. Viewing is available only on DAZN and does not support watching NBA docomo on other platforms.

From the NBA 2026-27 regular season, the service will livestream 400 games with Japanese play-by-play and commentary, focusing on the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers. It also plans Japanese-language coverage of the playoffs, Summer League, All-Star, G League and some WNBA games, plus all Conference Finals and NBA Finals games.

Starting October 17, an original weekly programme, "WEEKLY NBA docomo", will be distributed.
