Leak: OnePlus Turbo Pro tipped for year-end with 200MP camera

A Weibo tipster says the phone would share the OnePlus 16's screen, camera and battery size but use an unannounced Qualcomm SM8845 Pro chipset.

OnePlus is reportedly working on a new phone called the OnePlus Turbo Pro, which is tipped to arrive around the end of the year, according to a post from the Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station cited by gsmarena.com. The tipster's post was later edited to say only "good morning", leaving the original claims unconfirmed by OnePlus.

The leak describes a 6.78-inch flat 1.5K screen with a 185Hz refresh rate, a 200MP main camera with a large sensor, and a battery of at least 9,000 mAh. Engineering samples in the series are said to reach up to 10,000 mAh, and an external cooling fan accessory is reportedly planned, possibly attaching through a case.

The claimed chipset is the 3nm Qualcomm SM8845 Pro, which has not been announced. According to a separate leak, that chip will be marketed as either Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Pro, and is also rumoured for the iQOO Z12 Turbo.

Similarities to the OnePlus 16

The screen size, refresh rate, main camera resolution and battery capacity all match the OnePlus 16, which was recently unveiled with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. The Turbo Pro's rumoured chipset differs from that one.

The tipster says it is unclear whether the device will be called Turbo Pro or Turbo 7 Pro, and whether it will launch outside China. OnePlus launched the Turbo 6 in China in January, and the phone served as the basis for the Nord 6 in April.
