OpenAI held a Cyber CXO Roundtable in Seoul on October 16, 2026, bringing together around 60 executives, including chief information security officers from Korean companies, according to digitaltoday.co.kr.

At the event, OpenAI introduced Daybreak, an AI-based integrated cyber defense solution. Daybreak links OpenAI's AI models with Codex and Codex Security to support vulnerability detection, exploitability verification, remediation drafting and effectiveness confirmation.

OpenAI also shared its experience building Defense Factory, a self-operating system that connects AI agents with existing security and development tools to continuously inspect and resolve vulnerabilities.

The company emphasized that the data, systems and scope of tasks accessible to AI should be clearly defined, and that major security measures must be reviewed and approved by humans.
