Samsung One UI 9 Brings Expanded Customization to More Phones

Samsung's One UI 9 adds Home Up Favorites Background tools, multi-finger gestures and a more flexible Quick Panel for supported devices.

Samsung has begun rolling out its One UI 9 update to a wide range of phones worldwide, bringing a set of expanded customization features to supported devices, according to Engadget.

The update adds a Favorites Background tool inside the Home Up app, part of the Good Lock suite. It lets users apply blur and shadow effects and change the background image and color, with similar options available for the Edge Panel.

Gesture settings also gain multi-finger controls, allowing users to assign two- to five-finger swipes or pinches to actions such as taking screenshots or changing the volume.

In the Quick Panel, One UI 9 introduces an Edit icon for rearranging, resizing and deleting elements. The previous sizing caps have been removed, so individual elements can be resized as much as the user wants.

One UI 9 betas had been available before the wider release, with users testing the customization options since then.
