Samsung has begun rolling out the stable One UI 9 update, based on Android 17, to Galaxy S26 devices in the United States, according to howtogeek.com. The release arrives roughly a week later than the company had originally planned.
The initial U.S. rollout is limited to T-Mobile customers. Galaxy S26 owners on AT&T, Verizon and unlocked models have not yet received the update.
The same update is also reaching older Galaxy flagships in the U.S., including the Galaxy S25 lineup, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
In South Korea, Samsung's home market, the rollout has expanded to the Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
Earlier rollout context
One UI 9 already ships on the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Galaxy S26 FE. The stable release follows a long period of beta testing since last year, and Samsung has acknowledged a delay in the rollout in some cases without explaining the reason. One UI 8.5 arrived at the start of the year.
