Samsung Rolls Out New One UI 9 Watch Betas for Galaxy Watch 8 and Ultra

The fourth beta for the Galaxy Watch 8 series and the third for the first-gen Galaxy Watch Ultra arrive in South Korea with AOD and Samsung Health fixes.

Samsung has begun rolling out a new One UI 9 Watch beta for the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic in South Korea, alongside a separate beta for the first-generation Galaxy Watch Ultra, according to Android Authority.

The Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic update is the fourth One UI 9 Watch beta and carries build number ZZJ1 at 226.19MB. It brings fixes for always-on display (AOD) bugs, patches an error in the Samsung Health app and improves home button shortcuts.

The first-generation Galaxy Watch Ultra is receiving its third One UI 9 Watch beta, a 219.92MB download with a near-identical changelog covering the same AOD, Samsung Health and home button items.

Limited rollout

The beta rollout appears to be limited to South Korea for now. Samsung kicked off the One UI 9 Watch beta program for the Galaxy Watch 8 series in late August 2026, and the betas currently extend only to the Galaxy Watch 6.
