Stealien Launches Free URL Check for PHP2Shell Flaw
The tool tests whether a site is exposed to two critical PHP vulnerabilities, CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619.
Stealien released a free online service that checks whether a website is exposed to the PHP2Shell vulnerability by entering its URL, the company announced on October 22, 2026.
The check runs on a dedicated page on Stealien's website and is aimed at security staff and website operators, including small firms that have few security specialists on hand.
PHP2Shell refers to two critical PHP vulnerabilities tracked as CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619. Exploiting them could let an attacker run arbitrary code on a server without authentication or reach sensitive information.
Stealien said the service covers only sites the user owns or is authorized to test, and that it neither guarantees a site's overall security nor replaces security updates.
The company's CEO said the tool was released to help smaller companies and organizations with limited security staff, according to dailysecu.com.
Stealien develops and supplies the web and API security solution WebSuit and the AI-based vulnerability analysis solution AlienRay.
Government alert raised the same day
On October 22 at noon, the Ministry of Science and ICT raised the private-sector cybersecurity alert from "interest" to "caution" over the PHP2Shell vulnerability, and the ministry and KISA urged companies and institutions to apply security updates promptly.
