SteelSeries unveils UWB wireless mice with swappable batteries
The Sensei Pro, Sensei Pro Mini, Rival Pro and Rival Pro Mini drop the USB port, use Ultra Wide Band wireless and ship with two batteries each.
SteelSeries announced four wireless gaming mice on October 22, 2026: the Sensei Pro, Sensei Pro Mini, Rival Pro and Rival Pro Mini. All four use Ultra Wide Band (UWB) wireless connectivity and a swappable battery, and none has a USB port on the mouse body, according to PC Watch.
The Sensei Pro and Rival Pro weigh 53g, while the Sensei Pro Mini and Rival Pro Mini weigh 49g; the white versions of all four are 1g heavier. The sensor is a customized PixArt 3955 rated at up to 42,000dpi, 800IPS tracking speed and 70G acceleration, and the mice support an 8,000Hz polling rate.
SteelSeries rates battery life at up to 16 hours per battery at 8,000Hz and up to 60 hours at 1,000Hz. Each mouse ships with two batteries, a receiver that doubles as a charger, replacement mouse soles and grip tape.
SuperSync and SteelSeries GG Web
The company also introduced a feature called SuperSync, which lowers the game-side update rate without lowering the polling rate, and announced a web version of its customization software, SteelSeries GG Web. New Aim Tools in SteelSeries GG include Sensitivity Finder and Sensitivity Converter.
The black versions are scheduled to launch on November 20, 2026, and the white versions in mid-December 2026, each priced at 33,310 yen. Pre-orders opened on October 22, 2026.
A pop-up event will be held at LIFORK AKIHABARA II in Akihabara from October 23 to 25, 2026. The Sensei series had not seen a new product since 2019, making this its first release in about seven years.
