Straight Talk Adds 5G Ultra Wideband to $45 Silver Unlimited Plan
Straight Talk refreshed its unlimited plans with more hotspot data and international perks while keeping monthly base prices unchanged, Verizon says.
Straight Talk has refreshed its unlimited plans, adding 5G Ultra Wideband access to the $45-per-month Silver Unlimited tier and increasing hotspot data on the Silver and Gold plans without raising monthly base prices, according to Android Authority.
The $55 Gold Unlimited and $65 Platinum Unlimited plans already included 5G Ultra Wideband access. Verizon, which issued the announcement, says 5G Ultra Wideband offers speeds three times faster than standard 5G.
Alongside the network change, the Silver and Gold tiers now come with more hotspot data, and the lineup adds expanded international perks and savings on Home Internet bundles.
The base price of the Silver plan has not increased since 2009, a detail that predates this update and remains unchanged in the refresh.
