Tescom Denki released the foldable Protect Ion Hair Dryer TEC-A086D in mid-October 2026 at a direct-sale price of 10,980 yen, according to kaden.watch.impress.co.jp.
The dryer folds down to palm size and weighs about 410 g including the power cord. Its handle rotates 180 degrees and can be set at five angles.
It uses a high-speed brushless DC motor that delivers an airflow speed of 62.9 m/s in TURBO mode. Under the Protect Ion name it emits both negative and positive ions to reduce static electricity.
