Thanko launches Kamen Rider Ex-Aid energy can cooler
The USB-powered Proto Mighty Action X Origin cooler holds a 355ml can at about 10°C below ambient and costs 6,980 yen in pre-orders.
Thanko has released the Proto Mighty Action X Origin (model number ENDR26HBK-CTE), an energy-drink can cooler designed in collaboration with the tokusatsu series Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, according to Akiba PC Hotline. The online pre-order price is 6,980 yen.
The cooler is built around a dedicated slot with an inner diameter of about 60mm, sized so that a 355ml energy-drink can fits exactly. Thanko says it uses a cooling element equivalent to those found in PC CPU coolers, keeping the can about 10°C below the surrounding temperature.
A heat mode maintains roughly 55°C, and an 8-hour automatic off timer is included. The unit measures 93mm wide, 93mm deep and 182mm tall (220mm with the cap attached) and weighs about 390g. It draws power from a USB source rated at 5V and 2.0A or higher, with power consumption of about 7.5W.
Supported cans are those up to 60mm in diameter and 156mm in height. The package contains the main unit, a cap, a USB Type-C cable and a Japanese-language user manual.
