ThreatBook Acquires AI Penetration Testing Platform CyberStrikeAI

ThreatBook will maintain the open-source version and launch a new enterprise edition for corporate security teams.

ThreatBook has acquired the open-source AI penetration testing platform CyberStrikeAI, according to SecurityBrief. The company will keep the open-source version available after the acquisition and plans to launch a new enterprise version designed for corporate security teams.

The enterprise edition will be installed on the customer's internal network and will not export data externally. It will log all operations and manage permissions separately for each agent action. ThreatBook also intends to integrate CyberStrikeAI into its red team work to help companies find weaknesses in advance by reproducing attacks in a controlled environment.

CyberStrikeAI can be installed with a single command and visually shows attack paths. It supports multiple large language models and produces security assessment reports from natural language descriptions of targets. The platform provides over 100 step-by-step templates covering reconnaissance through attack.

ThreatBook will add controls to the open-source version to prevent misuse.

Open-source reach

CyberStrikeAI was released in late 2025 and, according to a recent SecurityBrief report, received over 6,600 GitHub stars and was deployed across more than 2,300 networks. The acquisition and planned enterprise version follow that adoption.
