Time's "best inventions of 2026" collection includes the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, according to 9to5google.com. The phone was listed for its Privacy Display feature rather than its performance.
The Privacy Display blocks side-angle viewing of the screen. It can also block isolated portions of the screen, such as PIN codes or notifications from the Android top shade.
The listing quotes Samsung's SVP of Mobile Product Management on the feature's flexible nature.
In October 2025, the Galaxy S26 Ultra took a different approach from a display panel treatment with an anti-glare coating.
