TJ Innovation to Supply High-Power Optical DAS to SoftBank
South Korean firm TJ Innovation has been selected as a high-power optical DAS vendor for SoftBank, expanding beyond mobile repeaters.
TJ Innovation announced it will supply high-power optical Distributed Antenna System (DAS) equipment to Japanese mobile carrier SoftBank, according to datanet.co.kr. The company said it was selected as a high-power optical DAS supply vendor for the carrier.
The deal marks an expansion of TJ Innovation's business beyond mobile communication repeaters into high-power wireless infrastructure systems.
Existing Carrier Relationships in Japan
The company has already been supplying mobile communication repeaters to KDDI and Rakuten Mobile in the Japanese market, and has been operating as a vendor for Japan's three major mobile carriers, including SoftBank.
TJ Innovation has developed its mobile communication repeaters and DAS based on digital signal processing technology.
