Mike Lacher Releases Triple-A Minesweeper Browser Parody
The parody reboot of Windows Minesweeper opens with startup logos, voice characters, and a single round that closes on rolling credits and a sequel tease.
Mike Lacher has released Triple-A Minesweeper, a browser-based parody reboot of Windows Minesweeper that mocks modern AAA game tropes, according to Tom's Hardware.
The parody opens with a sweeping audio entrance, startup logos including Unreal Engine, Nvidia, Bink Video and Wwise, and a title splash. It features voice characters including Nora, The Don, Clyde, Dr. K and DJ Dan, plus an internal monologue.
Gameplay details differ from the original Minesweeper: Nora marks a safe tile in yellow, and clicking a mine shows a red damage marker instead of ending the game. Triple-A Minesweeper consists of a single round that ends with rolling credits and a twist ending hinting at a sequel.
Lacher said loot boxes and brand integrations are set to arrive in the first quarter of next year.
