Ultrahuman Launches Heart Scan With FibriCheck for Ring Air, Ring Pro

Ultrahuman's new Heart Scan lets Ring Air and Ring Pro users record a 60-second heart rhythm reading in the app and export a PDF to share with a doctor.

Ultrahuman has launched Heart Scan, an on-demand heart rhythm scan for users of its Ring Air and Ring Pro smart rings, in partnership with Belgian cardiac monitoring company FibriCheck, according to Engadget.

To run a scan, users open the Ultrahuman app and sit still for 60 seconds. FibriCheck's algorithm then analyzes the recorded data and generates a PDF report that the user can share with a healthcare professional.

Heart Scan is available only in supported markets across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. The company has not said which specific countries are covered.

The feature is included in the existing Afib Power Plug at no extra cost. Ultrahuman already offered an Atrial Fibrillation add-on that monitors heart rhythm while the user sleeps.
