VNTG, Microsoft Korea Sign MOU to Build AX Framework for Manufacturers

The Oct. 14 agreement at SeAH Tower in Seoul covers joint AX projects, go-to-market strategy and an alliance ecosystem for factory AI.

VNTG and Microsoft Korea signed a memorandum of understanding on October 14 to jointly build an end-to-end execution framework for AI transformation (AX) at domestic manufacturing companies. The agreement was signed at SeAH Tower in Mapo-gu, Seoul, according to aitimes.com.

Under the MOU, VNTG will handle AI application and operation at manufacturing sites, while Microsoft Korea will support technology capability development and help secure a partner ecosystem.

The two companies will cooperate in four areas: building an execution framework for AX transformation, promoting initial AX projects and securing references, joint business development and go-to-market (GTM) strategy, and creating an alliance ecosystem.

VNTG said it has stationed specialized personnel at key bases in Seoul, Gunsan, Pohang, Changnyeong and Changwon to handle projects nationwide. The company's background is in diagnosing, designing, building and operating factory IT, from equipment control systems to MES and ERP.

Microsoft Korea is pursuing a "Frontier Transformation" strategy that embeds AI into core business processes using Azure cloud, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Foundry, Copilot and AI agents.
