Weekly Ventures Launches CADlingo 2.0 for AI-Driven 3D Modeling

CADlingo 2.0 generates parametric models from text and adds multi-part modeling with per-part file export, Weekly Ventures said.

Weekly Ventures released version 2.0 of its AI design service CADlingo on the 1st, the company said. The browser-based tool turns a text description of an item, its purpose, key dimensions and conditions into a 3D model.

Unlike generation tools that focus on appearance, CADlingo produces parametric design models whose geometry changes when dimension values are changed. Users can edit a generated model by adjusting numbers directly or by requesting changes in sentences.

Finished models can be downloaded as STEP files for continued work in other CAD programs, or as STL files ready for 3D printing, according to platum.kr.

What version 2.0 adds

Version 2.0 adds the ability to model a multi-part product at once and export separate files for each part. It also improves the ability to understand the user's design intent and revises the workflow.

Weekly Ventures released an initial version of CADlingo about a year ago and has been improving the service since then.
