Woori Bank is running a prize promotion from October 21 to November 20, 2026, for customers who issue a mobile ID through its WooriWON Banking app, the bank announced. Winners receive up to 100,000 won in Honey Money points, according to Digital Today.
The app now issues seven types of mobile ID cards, including resident registration cards and driver's licenses, through the WooriWON Wallet feature. Mobile IDs issued through the app carry the same legal effect as physical ID documents, the bank said.
Customers who joined WooriWON Banking on or after the 1st of the month and also issue a mobile ID during the event period receive an extra entry in the draw.
The service is built on decentralized identity (DID) technology. Woori Bank introduced the mobile ID service on October 14, 2026.
