Xbox Elite Controller 3 Specs Leak From Design Lab Backend

A Reddit user found configuration records for a controller codenamed Edessa, including Hall-effect or TMR joystick options and voice-coil haptics.

A Reddit user mined the backend of Xbox Design Lab and uncovered configuration records and 16 3D component models for a new Xbox controller codenamed Edessa, according to Engadget. The controller is linked to an accessory or customization product called Beatrice.

The leaked features include a choice of Hall-effect or TMR joysticks, voice-coil haptics motors and a dedicated audio scroll wheel. The configuration also lists multiple D-pad and paddle options and faceplate choices.

Four SKU combinations appear in the records, including Elite Complete and Elite Base. The naming points to Microsoft's Elite line, which its Series 2 model joined seven years ago.

Earlier leaks and the accidental sale of a seemingly real device suggest the Elite Controller 3 could launch soon. Microsoft has not confirmed the Edessa controller or its specifications.
