Smash pro Jason Zimmerman banned from XFS 2026 over health concern
Xtreme Fighters Showdown CEO M333 said the Super Smash Bros. player was told he could not take part in this weekend's event after self-reporting a health issue.
Super Smash Bros. player Jason Zimmerman has been barred from the Xtreme Fighters Showdown tournament, the event's CEO said. According to IGN, M333 posted on Twitter/X that Zimmerman was politely informed he could not participate in or attend XFS 2026 this weekend because of a health concern the player reported himself.
Zimmerman had earlier posted on Twitter/X about swollen hands and red bumps on his body, which he attributed to bug bites at his home. He has since deleted all tweets discussing his skin condition.
In October 2026, Zimmerman had posted about the same skin issue, and fans at the time speculated about a possible bed bug infestation.
The tournament's decision covers both competing and attending XFS 2026 this weekend.
