Kaoru Mori's A Bride's Story Gets New Volume This Winter

A Bride's Story Continues 1 arrives this winter from new publisher Yukiwarisō, with three new chapters in a larger A4 format.

Kaoru Mori's A Bride's Story manga is getting a new volume this winter, and it will come from a new publisher. The book is titled Otoyome-Gatari Zoku no 1 (A Bride's Story Continues 1) and will be released by Yukiwarisō (Hepatica, Inc.).

The volume will collect three new chapters and run about 80 pages, printed at a larger A4 size. The chapters will not be serialized in a magazine first, so readers will see them for the first time in the collected book.

Mori plans to publish at least a 16th volume once enough chapters are completed. Kadokawa will continue to digitally publish the manga from the 16th volume onward.

A publishing shift after Aokishi's renewal

In February 2025, the 24th A and B issues of Kadokawa's Aokishi magazine announced a renewal, after which both Kaoru Mori and Aki Irie would no longer have their works published in the magazine. Mori launched A Bride's Story in 2008 in Kadokawa's Fellows! magazine, which was later renamed Harta.

The manga's 15th compiled book volume shipped in Japan in November 2024, and Yen Press released that volume in December 2025. Separately, the third volume of Mori's Shirley manga — the first new volume in 12 years — was announced on Wednesday. Anime News Network reported the new volume details.
