Animate opens Kyushu's largest store in Fukuoka with Kisho Taniyama

Animate Lashic Fukuoka Tenjin, billed as Kyushu's largest Animate store, held its grand opening ceremony on Saturday, October 24, 2026, according to animeanime.jp. The store occupies the 8th floor of the Lashic Fukuoka Tenjin commercial facility in Tenjin, Fukuoka.
Voice actor Kisho Taniyama appeared at the ceremony as a guest. Taniyama, vocalist of the band GRANRODEO, voices Chuuya Nakahara in Bungo Stray Dogs. He signed a standee panel of the character during the event, and the panel will be displayed in the store until Monday, November 23.
Taniyama also delivered an opening congratulatory message in Chuuya Nakahara's voice. The ceremony featured crackers themed on the character, and Taniyama wore the character's signature black gloves.
Iwata Mitsukoshi president Shutaro Sanaka and Animate president and CEO Akihiro Togawa also took the stage. The store includes areas appearing in Kyushu for the first time, including Animate Gratte, Space A la mode, Space Galleria FUKUOKA and CyConveni.
