The release will begin with IMAX previews on 14 and 15 October 2026, followed by a wide cinema release from 16 October 2026. The film has been newly remastered in 4K.

Screenings in the UK and Ireland will offer the 2011 British English dub alongside the original Japanese audio with English subtitles. The British English dub cast includes Saoirse Ronan, Tom Holland, Olivia Colman, Geraldine McEwan and Mark Strong.

Arrietty is Studio Ghibli's adaptation of Mary Norton's The Borrowers, directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi with a screenplay by Hayao Miyazaki and Keiko Niwa. The 2011 British English dub features the first feature film performance of Tom Holland.

GKIDS acquired the UK and Ireland distribution rights to Studio Ghibli's 23-film library through Goodfellas, and will work with Anime Limited, which was acquired by GKIDS' parent company Toho Global.
