Code Geass: Star Chaser Aspal Anime Teaser Streamed, Premieres 2027

A teaser trailer for Code Geass: Star Chaser Aspal was streamed on the franchise's official YouTube channel, announcing that the anime is scheduled to premiere in 2027. The project was first revealed as part of the franchise's December 2024 announcement that several new works were in production.

Kazuya Nomura is directing the anime, with Mado Nozaki handling series scripts. Rolua is designing the characters, Yoshi. is designing the Agarmatha, Junbun Lin is in charge of background and special effects, and Ichinogi designed the title logo.

The new anime joins a wave of Code Geass projects. A crossover manga between Code Geass and Gundam Wing titled Shin Kidō Senki Gundam W x Code Geass - Hangyaku no Lelouch - Minuet Zero launched on Kadokawa's KadoComi platform on July 10, with Kōjirō Taniguchi from Sunrise credited for its scenario.

A stage play, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion - Seido ni Jyunzuru Kishi 2, will run in Osaka from January 23-25 and in Tokyo from January 29-February 1. A 20th Anniversary Exhibition will open in Tokyo in September 2026 and in Osaka in November 2026.

The original Code Geass television series premiered in 2006, followed by a sequel series in 2008. The film Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection opened in Japan in February 2019, and Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture played in four parts in Japanese theaters from May to August 2024.
