Sixth A Court of Thorns and Roses novel goes on sale

A Court of Splintered Harmony, the sixth novel in Sarah J. Maas's A Court of Thorns and Roses series, is available to purchase now at a $32 USD hardcover list price. The book runs 352 pages, according to Screen Rant.

Bloomsbury will publish the seventh novel, A Court of Forgotten Melody, on January 12, 2027. That book is listed at 896 pages with a $38 USD list price.

Publisher listings place Splintered Harmony as The Valkyrie Cycle, Movement I, and label Forgotten Melody as Movements II and III. No date has been announced for Movement IV.

Every copy of book six includes three previously published bonus chapters: Nesta and Cassian's story, Feyre and Rhysand's chapter, and Azriel's Winter Solstice installment. The novel is told through seven points of view: Feyre, Nesta, Cassian, Lucien, Gwyn, Mor and Azriel.

Bloomsbury CEO Nigel Newton described publishing two novels so close together as almost unprecedented for a bestselling author. Barnes & Noble announced midnight parties at more than 500 stores for release week, while Target planned celebrations at roughly 250 locations with an exclusive gift with purchases of book six, while supplies last.

Series context

The series had gone five years without a new full-length novel before A Court of Splintered Harmony. Maas told Business Insider that the four-part arc is intended as one continuous story, and her books have sold more than 75 million copies. The original A Court of Thorns and Roses was published on May 5, 2015.
