Crayon Shin-chan immersive exhibition opens October 17 in Seoul
dotmill's interactive show at Stage Secret Seongsu runs about three months, with 16 QR codes, 5 mini-games and 21 characters to collect.
dotmill will open an immersive interactive exhibition built on the Crayon Shin-chan IP, titled "Crayon Shin-chan! Let's Play! Space-Time Great Adventure", at Stage Secret Seongsu in Seoul on October 17. The show runs for about three months.
The company held a press conference and ribbon-cutting ceremony on the 16th, a day ahead of the opening, according to it.donga.com.
Visitors play through a dedicated web app: they scan 16 QR codes and complete 5 mini-games to collect 21 characters. A "Future City" attraction uses AI face analysis to match each visitor to the future Crayon Shin-chan character they most resemble.
The exhibition was co-planned and produced by dotmill on the basis of an original curation by INCUBASE Studio, with official approval from Futabasha and ADK.
INCUBASE Studio's CEO said Seoul is the fifth host city for the exhibition, which began in Hong Kong.
