Dragon Ball Super Dropped From Jump Festa Art Zone Lineup

Shueisha's November 2 update gives the space to the Metaphor: ReFantazio manga, though Dragon Ball Super keeps a Toei Animation booth exhibit.

Shueisha removed Dragon Ball Super from the Jump Original Art World zone in its updated Jump Festa lineup on November 2, 2026, according to Polygon. The space previously assigned to the series was given to the manga adaptation of Atlus' RPG Metaphor: ReFantazio, which is published in V Jump.

Dragon Ball Super will still appear at the event through a separate exhibition space at Jump Festa 2027, staged as part of Toei Animation's booth.

Manga artist Toyotaro continues to produce at least one character illustration every month for V Jump, and he changed his X bio to a statement about the series' return.

A hiatus that has stretched past two years

The original Dragon Ball manga by Akira Toriyama ended in 1995. Dragon Ball Super began publication in 2015, with story and supervision by Toriyama and art by Toyotaro. After Toriyama's sudden death in 2024, the Dragon Ball Super manga went on hiatus and has not returned.

The removal follows fan attention in September 2026, when no Dragon Ball characters appeared in Jump Festa's official visual. Dragon Ball Daima, a project that originated before Toriyama's death, was released, and the building that housed Toriyama's Bird Studio is due to be demolished soon.
