ghost – end of night Film Adds Kenjirō Tsuda as Moby Dick

The official website announced that Kenjirō Tsuda will voice Moby Dick, a man who takes an interest in Neekei, in the Madhouse film.

The official website for the anime film ghost – end of night announced additional cast on Wednesday, including Kenjirō Tsuda as the voice of Moby Dick, a man who takes an interest in Neekei. The film is directed by Shingo Natsume and animated at Madhouse.

The story is set in a near future where labor is no longer necessary and follows Neekei, a girl seeking the real while resisting the order of a content society. GKIDS screened the film, as did the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and Variety's Animation is Film festival, which took place on October 16-19.

The film will open in Japan on February 11, 2027. It marks Shingo Natsume's first time directing an original anime film.

Natsume has said he aims for a work that could be called fictional but is in tune with the current time and seeks realism. A manga adaptation by artist himiko launched in Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine on August 4.
