A television anime adaptation of Kashiko Amane's web manga Houkago no Idol ni wa Himitsu ga Aru was announced, with a premiere set for April 2027. Starry Cube opened an official website for the adaptation and revealed the main cast, staff, and a teaser visual.
Hikaru Satou is directing the anime at Gekkou. Fumihiko Shimo handles series composition and script, Azuma Tozawa serves as character designer, and Satoru Kousaki and MONACA compose the music. Ryou Aizawa of Starry Cube is the producer.
The cast includes Reiji Kawashima as Hiruno Hizashi, Hikaru Tono as Rei Kuromiya, Iori Noguchi as Sakura Akai, and Ami Maeshima as Sora Konno.
The manga began a preview serialization in Young Animal magazine from July to August 2022, then started regular serialization on Manga Park and Young Animal's web service in September 2022. Hakusensha published the ninth volume on July 29, and Yen Press licensed the manga in English in August 2024, with the fourth English volume going on sale on June 9.
