Satoshi Kuwabara directs the season at Tezuka Productions. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu handles series composition, Zenjiro Ukulele and Shizue Kaneko provide character designs, Yusuke Kato composes the music, and Satoshi Motoyama serves as sound director.

The anime adapts the light novel series written by Yukiya Murasaki and illustrated by Takahiro Tsurusaki. Kodansha publishes the series under the Kodansha Ranobe Bunko imprint, with 14 volumes published to date, and J-Novel Club publishes an English-language version.
