A fan-built LEGO Ideas model of Howl's Moving Castle, created by user Butterbarr, gathered 10,000 supporters on October 24, 2026, according to cbr.com. The submission has now advanced to the LEGO Ideas Review phase.
LEGO's review board will evaluate the build later in 2026. The model uses 5,000 LEGO pieces and stands about 43 centimeters tall, with a maximum width of 31 centimeters including its base.
Several parts of the castle are articulated: the legs, both eyes, the flap, the chimneys and the turrets are connected with ball joints or swivels, and the metal tongue can be removed. The base recreates part of the mountain landscape the castle walks over in the film, and its dark purple side carries a colorful diamond pattern.
The film, directed by Hayao Miyazaki and based on Diana Wynne Jones' novel, was released on September 9, 2004, with a runtime of 119 minutes.
