Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26, My Melody & Kuromi Land International Emmy Nominations

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced its 2026 International Emmy Awards nominees on a Wednesday, and two anime titles made the list. Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26 was nominated in the Short-Form Series category, while My Melody & Kuromi earned a nod in the Kids: Animation category.

Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26 is an eight-episode anime screened in two four-episode parts. The first part includes A Couple Clucking Chickens Were Still Kickin' in the Schoolyard, Sasaki Stopped a Bullet, Love is Blind, and Shikaku. The second part includes Mermaid Rhapsody, Woke-Up-as-a-Girl Syndrome, Nayuta of the Prophecy, and Sisters.

The series had its world premiere in October 2025 at the Global Stage Hollywood Film Festival 2025 at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatre in Hollywood. It also had a limited two-week theatrical run in nine cinemas across Japan starting the same month, and a two-week screening run in South Korea at MEGABOX theaters. Two of its segments, A Couple Clucking Chickens Were Still Kickin' in the Schoolyard and Shikaku, were nominated in the Short Film category of the Bucheon International Animation Festival.

My Melody & Kuromi, set in Mariland where My Melody and Kuromi live, debuted worldwide on Netflix in July 2025.
