Voltage, Toei Animation Reveal Otome Game Kakan Ruirui for Switch
The dark fantasy otome title launches digitally on Nintendo Switch in 2027 and will support both Japanese and English.
Voltage and Toei Animation are co-developing the otome game Kakan Ruirui: The Caged Lantern of Yomi (Kakan Ruirui: Urayomi Terasu Hōzukiyo), scheduled for a digital release on Nintendo Switch in 2027, according to Anime News Network.
Voltage is publishing the title under its console game brand AmuLit. The companies describe the game as a Japanese-inspired dark fantasy and say it will support Japanese and English. Its tagline is "It all begins with a life lost."
The first teaser video will be shown at the Animate Girls Festival 2026 event in Ikebukuro on November 7 and 8. Visitors to the booth will receive a booklet with character information and a large promotional shopping bag.
