Hanzo to sell KochiKame ukiyo-e print and fabric board on November 6

Hanzo's Ukiyo-e Kobo shop will offer a 27,500-yen giclée print and a 3,960-yen fabric board themed on KochiKame, according to animeanime.jp.

Hanzo has announced two ukiyo-e art products themed on KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops. Both items go on sale on Friday, November 6, through the company's online shop Ukiyo-e Kobo, according to animeanime.jp.

The first is a giclée print titled "KochiKame Ukiyo-e 'One Hundred Famous Views of Edo: Ohashi at Senju'", priced at 27,500 yen including tax. The artwork places KochiKame characters into the scenery of the historic Senju Ohashi bridge, a subject depicted in Utagawa Hiroshige's "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo". The print measures 28.8 cm by 18.8 cm, with a frame of 39.8 cm by 31.1 cm.

The second is a fabric board titled "KochiKame Ukiyo-e 'Pointed-Hat Water Intake Tower and Ryo-san'", priced at 3,960 yen including tax. It is based on the teaser visual for the new anime Shin KochiKame and shows a water intake tower at Kanamachi waterworks with Ryo-san beside it. The board measures 33.3 cm by 18.8 cm.

Series milestones

KochiKame, written by Osamu Akimoto, began as a manga and its anime adaptation started broadcasting in 1996. The franchise is marking the manga's 50th anniversary and the anime's 30th anniversary.

A new anime project, Shin KochiKame, is being animated by Gallop, the studio behind the earlier anime, and is set to be broadcast and streamed in 2027. Senju appears repeatedly in KochiKame as a place connected to the series; a bridge was first built over the Sumida River there in 1594.
