The television anime is produced by Shin-Ei Animation and adapts Minoru Toyoda's comedy drama manga. The series began airing on July 3, with Crunchyroll simulcasting it with English subtitles and dubs.
Toyoda launched the manga in Gessan magazine in November 2021. Shogakukan published the tenth volume on July 10, while Seven Seas Entertainment, which licensed the series in English on October 22 last year, released the first volume on August 11 and has scheduled the second for November 3.
The manga has earned wide recognition, winning the 16th Manga Taisho Awards in 2023 and the 70th Shogakukan Manga Awards in January 2025. It also placed sixth in the 2023 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! rankings in the Male Readers category.
