Naver Webtoon Sweeps All 5 'Today's Our Comics' 2026 Awards
The Korea Cartoonists Association and the culture ministry honour five Naver Webtoon series, three of them their creators' first on the platform.
Naver Webtoon took all five winning spots at the 2026 'Today's Our Comics' award, the platform's serialised works sweeping the honours, according to inews24.com.
The five winners are 사변괴담 by 강태진, 오사카 환상선 by 혀나현, 저궤도인간 by 조은영, 철과 얼음의 여정 by 울롱 and 티라노 노경수 by 힙합신선. The award is presented by the Korea Cartoonists Association and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Three of the titles — 오사카 환상선, 저궤도인간 and 철과 얼음의 여정 — are each their creator's first Naver Webtoon series. 철과 얼음의 여정 was discovered through Naver Webtoon's 2024 Choi강JaJeon contest, while 티라노 노경수's creator 힙합신선 came up through the 2022 Jisang Choidae Contest with 썩은 핑크의 법칙.
'Today's Our Comics' has been awarded annually since 1999 and is counted among Korea's three major comics awards alongside the Bucheon Comics Award and the Korea Content Awards.
Naver Webtoon has said it will invest more than 70 billion won this year across work discovery, overseas expansion, creator education, emotional care and reader communication. In September 2025, professor 임철민 of Jeonbuk National University surveyed 111 directly contracted Naver Webtoon creators and recorded satisfaction scores of 88.9 for contract and settlement transparency, 84.7 for global expansion opportunities and 81.4 for revenue structures, on a 100-point scale.
