RisingJoy to Release 20 AI-Generated Vertical Anime Titles by Winter 2027
The Singapore-based studio says the titles are developed by its in-house team with AI as a production tool, bringing its total output to 30 series.
Singapore-based studio RisingJoy announced on October 30, 2026 that it will release 20 new AI-generated vertical anime titles before the end of the Winter 2027 season, according to cbr.com. Two of the 20 titles are scheduled to arrive in January 2027.
Combined with titles already released or slated for release by the end of 2026, RisingJoy's total output of AI-generated anime will reach 30 series. The studio says all of the shows were developed by its in-house creative team, with AI used as a production tool.
RisingJoy also signed a framework memorandum of understanding with Japan's NTT DOCOMO Studio & Live. Under the agreement, RisingJoy will license NTT DOCOMO titles non-exclusively on a title-by-title basis.
The studio distributes its work through RJOY, a direct-to-consumer microdrama and vertical anime streaming service available in Japan and the U.S. via TikTok.
A crowded Winter 2027
Earlier in 2026, RisingJoy completed and released six AI-generated vertical anime titles, including Addicted to the Dark Boss and Hide My Secret in the Moonlight, with four more due by the end of 2026. Co-founder and CEO Cassandra Yang previously said AI completed around 80% of the studio's production workflow before human oversight. Winter 2027 also includes Netflix's One Piece anime reboot, Sakamoto Days Season 2, the second part of One-Punch Man Season 3 and the third season of MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES.
